It is made up of three Sanskrit letters: aa, au and ma which, when combined together, make the sound OM. It is believed to be the basic sound of the world, and contains all other sounds.

This logo is selected only in the light of Sanskrit language, and no religion is associated with it. This site is truly universal, and everyone is welcome to support Sanskrit.

Unicode is a system of representing text and symbols and is supported by all modern browsers and operating systems. If you are unable to view the devanagari fonts correctly in your browser, please follow the below procedure.

Windows 2000/XP:
1. Download font (or .zip file containing font) to a temporary location (e.g., the desktop).
2. Open the ‘Fonts’ folder (Windows 2000: Start > Control Panel > Fonts; Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Appearances and Themes > Fonts).
3. Drag font file (not the .zip file) into Fonts folder. Applications need to be restarted in order to recognize the font.

Mac OSX:
1. Download font (or .zip file containing font) to a temporary location (e.g., the desktop).
2. Launch the font file with Font Book.
3. Click on “Install Font.”
